[Screen It]

Just a few of the hundreds of comments, testimonials and endorsements we receive...

I signed up to get Screen It weekly reviews a long time ago, when my kids were young and I wanted to know more about movies before we went to a theater or rented. Now one child is in law school, other in undergraduate, and I still read the weekly Screen Its! It helps me know what my husband and I want to see or rent, and what to have waiting at home that we all will enjoy when my "kids" come home. I depend on Screen It reviews. They usually just present the facts and let me decide if the movie is appropriate or of interest for my family and me. Thank you for providing that service, Screen It!

I have subscribed to ScreenIt for more than a decade. I check in every week to take advantage of their amazing services. Not only does their site provide a glimpse of exactly what content a movie offers, I've found the “Our Take” reviews and ratings for each movie to be right on the money every single time. I've referred dozens of friends to this service because my #1 resource for deciding whether or not to show a movie to my kids, or to see one myself, is ScreenIt.com!

Thanks,

The only source we use to research movies is ScreenItplus. We can read about all the current releases, plus many from the past. We can determine if the movie may be appealing to our tastes; how many times certain curse words are used; how many sex scenes and how explicit; how much violence and what kind, etc.

SCREEN IT is not just for families with children. Ours are long gone. I'm a 75 year old senior. My wife and I had to stop going to the movies theaters for one simple reason; we couldn't fast forward past the over-the-top immoral parts and terrible language.

We use ScreenItPlus to guide us in online rental of DVDs. When SceenIt first began our hope was that it would thrive. It appears that it has. Alleluia!

I have two daughters who are now in college. When I first discovered Screen It years ago, I felt it was a godsend. The ratings provided by the MPAA can be misleading. When my girls were teenagers, Screen It helped me identify PG-13 movies that were inappropriate for them.

And whatever my decision they understood knowing that I made an informed decision based on actual content, not just hype. I credit Screen It with helping me to raise daughters that have not been fed a steady diet of foul language and sexual behavior that might wrongly color their ideas of what is normal and appropriate for young ladies. I gladly paid my subscription fee each year. Every parent should have this tool.

I have 4 children who are now in college. I signed up for Screen It when my children were pre-teenagers. Often my children would ask to see a movie with a friend and I wished I could preview the movie prior to giving permission. A friend told me about ScreenIt.com and I found it to be the next best thing to previewing a movie. The amount of violence, sexual content, or language were always concerns for me and my husband as we raised innocent kids with morals. We constantly fought the peer pressure our kids received to see films that in our opinion were questionable. With the evidence we received at Screen It, our kids couldn't even fight us when we felt a film may have been inappropriate for them to watch. Thank you, Screen It. Continue to make this helpful service available to everyone, but especially the young parents.

Screenit.com is an amazing resource for parents, educators, church groups or anyone who wants to make an informed decision whether a movie is suitable for their viewing. The reviews and content descriptions are so detailed I am mystified how the reviewers can put them together.

I love screen It! I don't know what I would do without it. It is well worth the membership. Before we take our son to the movies we check it out on screen it first. Thank you SO much for making it. Keep up the good work & keep 'em coming!!!

ScreenIt is our very favorite movie review site, all-around. As a family, we feel it’s important to fill our minds and hearts with media that will uplift, rather than promote violence or other bad behaviors and attitudes. ScreenIt provides all the details about the content of a movie, so we and our five children (now ages 22-12), can decide if we want to watch or not. Plus, the “Our Take” section, reviewing the entertainment and artistic merits of the movie, are usually spot-on, as well. Thank you for all you do, ScreenIt Plus!

Since I’ve discovered screenit and their "always thorough" movie reviews my apprehension level of going to the movies and laying down good hard-earned cash to see something that I’ll regret...has vanished! These reviews are not only comprehensive, but also dead-on accurate from what I’ve experienced over the past 5 years or so. And even though I do not personally have children, I help my friend’s family (including children) to sidestep offensive movies that contain one bad element or another. TWO THUMBS UP FOR SCREENIT!!!

Thank you for the interesting and accurate reviews of movies. It has helped me to judge for myself if a movie was worth spending my time watching it, and if it is appropriate for my grandchildren. I made up my mind several years ago that I would not see a movie that was inundated with foul language, nudity, and extreme violence. The ratings today are no exactly trustworthy, so it helps to have this website to make an intelligent judgement call. I am a discerning and concerned grandmother of eight fine grandchildren from age 15 to age four, and your website has certainly helped me protect them.

Screenit has been an invaluable partner in helping us find movies & DVD's that are family friendly

As a minister, I've found it very difficult to find popular entertainment that I felt comfortable watching with my family. My wife and I raised 3 daughters and our motto was "If we can't watch it as a family, we won't watch it." Screenit has been an invaluable partner in helping us find movies & DVD's that are family friendly. As I said, we raised 3 daughters using Screenit as a helpful guide and now my daughters are using it to help their families find appropriate entertainment. I've recommended it to everyone I know. Thanks, Screenit!

Screen it helps us make more educated decisions

Screen it helps us make more educated decisions about what videos we see at the theaters, rent, or buy. It has easily saved us the cost of a full year membership and has enabled us to become more sensitive to violent, crude, sexual, or thoughtless media. We have found this an incredible tool that we wish was available for other avenues of entertainment.

I've tried other parental review services, but screenit.com is the best.

Ever since I discovered screenit.com, I have felt freer about choosing a movie. I don't have to worry about traumatizing my children with violent images or tense music that they can't handle. And it helps me gauge whether I will be comfortable with a particular movie!

Not only do I recommend screenit.com to fellow parents, but also to fellow members of my bookclub. Now that screenit.com is available, it's just common sense to check it when choosing a movie.

I also find the screenit.com review ("Our Take") to be consistently the most useful predictor of whether I will enjoy a movie. I consult it for the numerical rating and the explanation.

I have been happy to subscribe and support the paid service...It's that good.

I have a young daughter and live in San Francisco, CA. I use the site mainly for myself and my wife - aside from the usefulness of the specific criteria, the main reason I love screenit.com is that the reviews are just so darned good - witty, concise and useful. It's very rare that I disagree with a screenit.com reviewer on the overall merits of a film.

I've been reading screenit.com reviews for many years now, and frankly, even aside from the main purpose of screenit.com (to provide more information about specific film criteria that might be useful to parents), it's my main 'go-to' film review site, and for that reason alone, I'd read the reviews even if I weren't a parent.

I was never disappointed

I signed up as a subscriber when my 2 kids were young; they are now 26 and 23. I was very selective of the movies they were exposed to and relied heavily on the Screen It reviews to determine whether or not the movies were family suitable. I was never disappointed. I now use Screen It for my own purposes and the reviews continue to ensure that I don't waste my money (Especially at today's prices!) on lackluster movies.

I originally signed up for screenit.com to help me and my wife discern what is and what isn't appropriate for our two daughters. Now that our daughters are grown, I still use this site to help me choose movies and/or videos that I might find enjoyable without being offensive.

Thank you,

Tom McHugh

I signed up because I like unbiased info on the quality of the film and the moral content.
The site has helped me choose higher quality films.
I really like the brief, to the point reviews.

What I really love about screenit is how specific it is. I can find out exactly how many incidences of sexual content or swearing or violence, and precisely what was said or done-without commentary- so that I can then make up my own mind about whether it is appropriate for our family or not. I just don't have time to screen every movie for myself and I really appreciate this service. I do not want to waste time or money on something that would not please God.

I also appreciate the artistic reviews. It's certainly good to know whether the movie is artistically satisfactory as well. I just can't say enough about how valuable this service is to us. I tell people about screenit.com all the time!

I am amazed at the accuracy of the movie screening process.

"Screen It" has made it possible for me to guard and protect my family from insane, inappropriate, unnecessary elements that are incorporated in the movies of our times.

If it wasn't for "Screen It", attending movie theaters would have stopped completely, as using movie ratings are so unreliable.

Automobile crash testings has waken up car manufacturers to design and build safer cars.

Hopefully, the work of "Screen It", will force movie personnel to re-examine their "talents", so that they can produce work to better humanity.

Thank you "Screen It" !!

This site has really helped me decide what to see in the theater versus what to wait and rent or bypass altogether. Great service!

I love Screen-It! We don't go to R rated movies and some PG-13's are getting just as bad. With Screen-It, I can go online and see exactly what is in each movie to determine whether or not it's appropriate for our standards.

Screenit.com is really the place to get movie reviews. Many sites have movie reviews, but none are as complete or helpful as Screenit.com. As a Youth Pastor I have parents and teens looking for a way to censor their movies and nowhere else can you find such a detailed and unbiased review of any given movie. I'm happy to be a paying member so that quality movie reviews can continue.

Pastor David Sill

Screenit.com gives me important parental information regarding script, language and specifics of nudity and sexuality, so I don't have to rely on the judgement of some elitist reviewer, and can decide for myself whether my kids, or me for that matter, should be subjected to an undesirable scene. Often I will avoid a movie because of only a small 20 second objectionable segment which I only discovered by reading the screenit.com review.
