QUICK TAKE:
Comedy: A dashing prince and his lazy, self-centered brother set off on a quest to save a kidnapped damsel and defeat an evil wizard.
PLOT:
Prince Fabious (JAMES FRANCO) is beside himself with remorse when his bride, Belladonna (ZOOEY DESCHANEL) is kidnapped by the evil wizard, Leezar (JUSTIN THEROUX), on their wedding day. He enlists the help of his brother, Thadeous (DANNY McBRIDE), a bumbling ne'er-do-well who both loves his sibling but is jealous of his looks, his success in battle, and the fact he is the favorite son of their father, King Tallious (CHARLES DANCE).

Under threat of banishment, Thadeous and his loyal subject, Courtney (RASMUS HARDICKER), agree to join Fabious and his not-so-loyal subject, Julie (TOBY JONES), on their mission to save Belladonna. Along the way, they team up with the female warrior, Isabel (NATALIE PORTMAN), who has a family score to settle with Leezar, too.

Complications arise when Julie betrays the group, Fabious' soldiers turn on him, Thadeous tries unsuccessfully to bed Isabel, and the brothers lose their magic compass. They will have to fight dragons, navigate a labyrinth, and retrieve an all-powerful sword if they have any chance of defeating Leezar.
