The following is a brief summary of the content found in this sci-fi horror movie that has been rated R. Profanity consists of at least 7 "f" words, while other expletives and colorful phrases are also uttered. Some brief sexual material is present, most notably a man looking at a pornographic magazine (bare breasts), while cleavage is present many times in the film.
Violence consists of people -- mostly zombies -- being shot, stabbed, skewered, decapitated, exploded, punched, kicked, and generally manhandled. All of this has very bloody results. There is also a sequence where the lead characters are attacked by mutated dogs that may prove unsettling to some animal lovers. In addition, a large section of a major city is blown up by a nuclear-like device.
Bad attitudes are present throughout, as is much potentially imitative behavior and various thematic elements. There is no smoking or drinking, however.

For those prone to visually induced motion sickness, the film is presented in 3-D and the director makes ample use of the gimmick. There are also several sequences that go from slow-motion to hyper fast motion in the same scene to goose the action and hike up the gore factor.
