QUICK TAKE:
Horror: Eight months after covering up the death of one of their sorority sisters -- in a prank gone wrong -- a group of recently graduated college students must contend with a serial killer who's after them.
PLOT:
It's the last year of college for a tight knit group of sisters in the Theta Pi sorority. While party-girl Chugs (MARGO HARSHMAN) might be the epitome of the wild bashes they throw, Jessica (LEAH PIPES) is the snarky ruler of the bunch who has her eyes set on a future with Kyle (MATT LANTER), the son of an influential senator.

Among the other seniors is Cassidy (BRIANA EVIGAN), whose boyfriend Andy (JULIAN MORRIS) is the brightest in the school. Her best friend, the bookish Ellie (RUMER WILLIS), doesn't have a boyfriend, but Claire (JAMIE CHUNG) is having fun with Mickey (MAXX HENNARD), despite his wandering eyes. And then there's Megan (AUDRINA PATRIDGE) who's dating Chugs' brother, Garret (MATT O'LEARY), but isn't happy he's recently cheated on her.

Accordingly, she and a few of the sisters concoct a prank where they'll convince Garret to slip her some date rape drug to take advantage of her, and then fake her death including the disposal of her body in a remote location. When they get there, he freaks out and panics when he hears the body won't sink due to air in the lungs, and thus plunges a tire iron deep into her chest.

It's only then that he realizes he was duped, but it's too late as she's now dead for real. Knowing that going to the police will ruin all of their lives, Jessica convinces the others -- including the reluctant Cassidy -- that they must abide by one of their sorority's tenets -- secrecy -- and not tell anyone what happened or that they dumped Megan's body down an abandoned mine shaft.

Eight months later, the girls find themselves graduates and return to the sorority for one last wild night where housemother Mrs. Crenshaw (CARRIE FISHER) turns the house over to them. But upon the arrival of Megan's younger sister, Maggie (CAROLINE D'AMORE), who not only looks like her sibling but is also going to pledge her sorority next year, things start getting weird, increasingly creepy, and then downright deadly.

And that's because a killer cloaked in a black graduation gown has arrived and starts to pick them off one by one, with various clues (text messages, photos, and a modified tire iron as the weapon of choice) leaving the survivors in a panic wondering if the assailant might be Megan having somehow survived that night months ago or perhaps has returned from the dead for revenge.

WILL KIDS WANT TO SEE IT?
If they're into slasher-type horror films, pics featuring college coeds, and/or anyone in the cast, they might be interested.
WHY THE MPAA RATED IT: R
For strong bloody violence, language, some sexuality/nudity and partying.
CAST AS ROLE MODELS:
Please note the following does not contain the killer's identity or related info.
  • BRIANA EVIGAN plays a sorority sister at Theta Pi who's the least loyal to Jessica, especially when it comes to her various plans involving Megan. Even so, she gets pulled back in eight months after Megan's unexpected death and must not only put up with her guilt and Jessica's attitude, but also a cloaked assailant who arrives on the scene and starts killing them and others. She drinks, uses strong profanity, and has sex or just fools around with Andy.
  • LEAH PIPES plays the catty and demeaning sorority leader who convinces the others to follow her various plans, including that of disposing of Megan's body and then keeping that a secret. She drinks and uses strong profanity.
  • RUMER WILLIS plays Cassidy's closest friend and the shyest of the girls who's the first to freak out about most everything that occurs. She drinks.
  • JAMIE CHUNG plays a sorority sister who's tight with Jessica, fools around with Kyle but then grows tired of him, drinks, and uses profanity.
  • MARGO HARSHMAN plays the wildest of the sorority sisters who drinks hard, is known for being promiscuous (including exchanging sexual favors for prescription medication), and uses profanity.
  • JULIAN MORRIS plays Cassidy's boyfriend, the school's valedictorian who doesn't like her being involved with the sorority or its sisters.
  • MATT LANTER plays a Senator's son who's romantically targeted by Jessica. He drinks some, cheats on her, and later gets violent with her and others.
  • MAXX HENNARD plays the guy Claire is dating or at least just having sex with, but he has eyes (and hands) for others as well. He drinks some.
  • MATT O'LEARY plays Chugs' brother who cheats on Megan and is then fooled into believing she's dead after he gives her what he believes is a date rape drug. Panicked that her body won't sink, he stabs her in the chest and thus kills her for real, only increasing his panic. He uses strong profanity.
  • AUDRINA PATRIDGE plays a sorority sister who agrees to play a prank on her cheating boyfriend, only to end up dead because of that.
  • CARRIE FISHER plays the sorority housemother who's no fool about what goes on in the house, but allows various things to slide. She briefly uses profanity, drinks some, and when an intruder is in the house, she goes after him with a shotgun.
  • CAROLINE D'AMORE plays Megan's younger sister who's going to pledge the sorority next year but her cocky attitude toward Jessica has the sisters on edge that she might be involved in the attacks. She fools around with Jessica's boyfriend off camera.

    ALCOHOL OR DRUG USE
  • A great deal of drinking occurs at a college party, and Chugs throws a beer in one guy's face. In the kitchen, Mrs. Crenshaw pours liquor into her coffee or tea, while the sorority seniors all drink shots.
  • Champagne is opened and Ellie, Claire and Jessica drink some from the bottle to celebrate their graduation. Later, and back at the sorority open house, various people carry glasses of champagne, including Mrs. Crenshaw.
  • Maggie sees liquor bottles on a table and wonders if the sisters are having a party that night. They are, but Jessica escorts her out.
  • Two of the boyfriends drink beer, and Chugs says she's going to score some Oxy (Oxycotin) from her therapist. One guy jokingly asks that if she "blows" that doctor can she get enough for the rest of them.
  • Chugs drinks liquor straight from the bottle in her therapist's office. When she finds him alone and handcuffed to a bed in his boxers, he states that there's no reason they can't finish what his last patient started. She's reluctant until he states he has prescription medication she can have in exchange for that, so she agrees (but no sex or drug use occurs, although when she looks at herself in the mirror getting ready, she says, "Cheers, slut"). When she can't find him again, she lies down on a bench and continues drinking from the bottle, with the cloaked killer jamming that bottle down into her mouth, killing her.
  • Kyle's father has a drink.
  • We hear one sister ask Ellie if there's any vodka down there with her in the basement.
  • Various people drink a lot at a party, including a guy from a hose. Some guys later appear to be quite intoxicated, and one guy asks Andy if he's the guy who was earlier selling weed, but Andy says he isn't.
  • Jessica pours beer on a couple making out while lying down (clothed, and they get up and leave).
  • A guy drinks beer from a keg.
  • BLOOD/GORE
  • Megan begins foaming at the mouth while faking having a seizure, and Garret later twice vomits upon thinking he accidentally killed her.
  • Thinking that he's accidentally killed Megan and then hearing that her body won't sink due to air in her lungs, Garret grabs a tire iron and drives it hard and deep into her chest, mortally wounding her, with lots of blood from the wound as well as her mouth. Others get her blood on them as they try to save her, but they can't.
  • We see Chugs making out with a guy while standing, but he complains that she tastes like vomit (she says that's because she threw up earlier, but had a breath mint), and nothing else happens.
  • Ellie rushes off, saying she's going to be sick (but we don't know if that happens).
  • A therapist races to unlock the handcuffs around his wrist and attached to a bed when he hears strange metal scraping sounds in his place. Just then, the cloaked killer throws a modified tire iron (blades on at least one of the spokes), hitting and killing him, with bloody results (including a growing pool on the floor).
  • As one sister lies down on a bench and drinks liquor straight from a bottle, the cloaked killer suddenly jams that bottle down into her mouth, and then strikes her with the tire iron, killing and bloodying her.
  • As one sister showers, she hears other showers coming on, so she slowly goes to investigate. Just then, the cloaked killer grabs her, slams her back against a wall, and drives the tire iron up through her chin, killing her, with bloody results.
  • The cloaked figure slices Mickey on the leg deep enough to go down to the bone (with bloody results) and Mickey tries to escape, but can't. He then bashes a window to call for help outside, but some drunken guys pay him no heed. He then tries to flee down a chute of some kind, with the killer throwing his tire iron that misses, but one of the blades penetrates the wall where Mickey is now stuck. The killer then pushes another blade through the wall and into Mickey (we don't see the actual insertion), killing him (with streams of blood running down his face while hanging upside down).
  • The remaining sisters get a cell phone call that shows the earlier scene of Garret stabbing the tire iron down into Megan (with bloody results).
  • A guy holds a mirror shard and is bloody from having cut his own wrists (we don't see that act). He then collapses and dies from that or a combination of that and being hit twice by an SUV.
  • A sister suddenly bangs on a patio door and tries to get in, but can't. A cable around her foot then yanks her away, and when another sister finds her dead with a lit flare in her mouth, burning away her skin on her face and neck.
  • Hearing someone coming around the corner, Jessica swings an ax but misses what turns out to be Mrs. Crenshaw who hits Jessica with her shotgun, bloodying Jessica's nose.
  • A woman is pushed back onto a sharp prong that goes through her, with bloody results.
  • Kyle has a little blood on his face after being hit there.
  • We see a partially decomposed body hanging in the shower.
  • A man grabs Cassidy by the face, followed by Andy slamming an ax into the back of that man's head, killing him, with bloody results.
  • The killer jams a tire iron into a sister's mouth, killing her (with bloody results then, and when he pulls that out, allowing her body to drop away, leaving blood on the wall).
  • DISRESPECTFUL/BAD ATTITUDE
  • The killer obviously has a bad attitude for his actions.
  • Jessica says she likes Claire (who's Asian) because it makes her multi-cultural without any effort. She also makes various other callous, snarky and demeaning remarks toward or about others.
  • We learn that Garret agreed to a sorority sister plan to give Megan a date rape drug so that he could fool around with her, unaware that it's a prank on him where Megan will fake dying from a seizure, all to get back at him for cheating on her (we also hear she cheated on him).
  • One of the sisters uses the term "lezzie" (for lesbian, although none of the characters is one).
  • After Garret kills Megan for real, Jessica convinces everyone but Cassidy that they should dispose of the body and not tell anyone that occurred. And to keep Cassidy quiet, they wrap the body in her jacket before dumping it into an abandoned mine shaft.
  • When a guy decides not to have sex with Chugs, she calls him a loser and says it's not her fault that he's gay.
  • Jessica and at least Claire aren't appreciative of commemorative bracelets that Mrs. Crenshaw has given them as gifts (not to her face, but after she leaves).
  • Some viewers might not like Chugs, looking for but unable to find her therapist with whom she's going to have sex in exchange for prescription medication stating, "I don't have time for catch me, rape me."
  • One person asks another, "Are you deaf or stupid?"
  • Mickey keeps rubbing up against Claire from behind while dancing (both clothed at a party), and she complains about him rubbing his "business" on her. He mentions the hot tub sex from earlier and that he could get action with any girl at the party. After she leaves, he slaps one girl on the butt, tries to sell passes to the sorority party in exchange for two other girls showing him some skin (they nearly do, but then reconsider), and he then puts his hand on the clothed leg of another girl, but she tells him off.
  • Maggie has a bad attitude toward Jessica.
  • Jessica tells Ellie that the latter is "being borderline retarded right now."
  • Jessica finds Maggie in bed alone, in her bra and panties and wearing Kyle's dress shirt. She tells Jessica that she and Kyle were just getting started and that she knows Jessica "f*cked" Megan's boyfriend. The two end up struggling, with one telling the other, "You're such a whore."
  • FRIGHTENING SCENES
  • Scenes listed under "Violence," "Blood/Gore" and "Jump Scenes" may be unsettling, suspenseful or scary to younger viewers and/or those with low tolerance levels for such material.
  • Megan seems to be having a seizure, and Garret panics, but it's all part of a prank aimed at him.
  • Ellie panics when she thinks she sees Megan (who should be long dead) at a reception.
  • The sisters simultaneously get a cell phone call showing a close-up picture of a tire iron.
  • Ellie gets spooked down in the dimly lit basement, especially when her flashlight goes out. She then freaks out when she spots Cassidy's jacket (that had been around Megan's body in the past) and then suddenly runs into a guy down there.
  • To check if Megan's body is still down the mine shaft, Cassidy is lowered down into that, but the chain or rope breaks and she falls, landing hard. A mirror shard is then accidentally dropped and barely misses landing in her hand, while some rats are nearby. Cassidy then uses light from an electronic device to look around, and spots the wording "Theta Pi Must Die" on the wall.
  • We see that killer is still alive and ready for more mayhem at the end of the film.

  • A song has a lyric about making love.
  • A song had what sounded like the use of "n*gger" in it.
  • A song has the word "hell" in it.
  • PROFANITY
  • At least 29 "f" words (4 used sexually, as are the terms "laid," "bone" and "do it"), 13 "s" words, 4 slang terms using male genitals ("d*ck"), 2 for breasts ("t*ts" and "rack"), 10 hells, 8 asses (3 used with "hole"), 2 craps, 1 damn, 21 uses of "Oh my God," 3 of "Oh God," 2 of "God" and 1 use each of "Jesus," "Jesus Christ" and "My God."
  • SEX/NUDITY
  • We see various scantly clad young women at a college party (including in bikinis, while the bare butts -- of some bouncing up and down in some sort of outfits -- are briefly/partially seen). There's also some making out among various couples (on the floor and standing, all clothed, prompting one sister walking by one couple to tell them to get a room). Shirtless guys are also present, while one guy tells a girl he just got tested (meaning for VD or such).
  • One of the senior sisters jokes that she "boned" another's dad, there's a comment about one having a nice "rack," and one then shows a live video feed of Garret making out with what appears to be a barely conscious Megan, on top of and slightly groping her (with some sarcastic comments by the sisters about Megan getting implants). We hear that he agreed to give Megan a date rape drug (the plan originating with some of the sisters), and Chugs states that her brother is good in bed. Another, however, tires of the lack of action, asking, "What is this, the dry hump Olympics?" while one also states that "roofie sex" (from the date rape drug) isn't that bad as you get "laid" as well as a good night's sleep. Megan then fakes having a seizure (from the fake date rape drug -- all done as part of a prank on Garret), and one of the girls pretends to give Megan CPR, with another commenting that the girl on girl action is hot. While Garret is out of the room, Megan comments on him always saying he loves her "every time we do it."
  • Cassidy shows some cleavage and is seen in small shorts.

  • We see Chugs making out with a guy while standing, but he complains that she tastes like vomit (she says that's because she threw up earlier, but had a breath mint). She then playfully says that oops, she isn't wearing any underwear, that it's cool down there, and that maybe he can warm it up. He's turned off by all of that, however, and leaves, with her angrily saying it's not her fault he's gay.
  • One guy says a girl's mother is smoking (hot) and that he'd have some of that "milkshake," prompting another girl to state he or another is "more of an ass man." When Chugs says she's going to score some Oxy (Oxycotin) from her therapist, one guy jokingly asks that if she "blows" that doctor can she get enough for the rest of them.
  • While chatting on the phone, Cassidy tells Andy that she'd do anything for him, prompting him to reply jokingly that they'll test that theory tonight.
  • Mrs. Crenshaw tells the girls that for every guy she kicked out of the sorority house, she let 5 slide. One then jokes that Chug had 5 in one night, prompting Chugs to say she has lots of parts that need attention, prompting another to jokingly call her a "slut."
  • Claire tells Mickey she wants one last time (sex) in the bubble-filled hot tub, but he says there are too many people around (and it's during the day) and that they should just go inside and upstairs. She then removes her bikini (under the bubbles) and that convinces him, so he starts to get undressed (sex is implied). We later see her back in the house in just a towel, while he's shirtless and peeks up one sister's skirt while she's on a ladder.
  • Chugs drinks liquor straight from the bottle in her therapist's office. When she finds him alone and handcuffed to a bed in his boxers, he states that there's no reason they can't finish what his last patient started. She's reluctant until he states he has prescription medication she can have in exchange for that, so she agrees (but no sex or drug use occurs, although when she looks at herself in the mirror getting ready, she says, "Cheers, slut" and when she can't find him, comments, "I don't have time for catch me, rape me."

  • We see various sisters' bare breasts in the shower room, as well as nearly full frontal for one whose towel barely covers that up. When another sister surprises Claire by pulling open the shower curtain, she looks down at her crotch area (we don't see it) and reminds Claire that waxing isn't just for floors anymore. Jessica then arrives and makes that sister drop her robe and she does (bare breasts), sarcastically commenting that if Jessica wanted to see perfect "t*ts," she just had to ask.
  • Jessica tells Claire to "grow a pair" (of testicles).

  • The killer pins Cassidy and has a blade to her neck, but she twice hits him with a lamp to get free.
  • Maggie is trapped in one part of the house by the fire, and the killer repeatedly throws his tire iron at her, barely missing before using a rope to pull it back and then throw it again. Cassidy then hits him with some sort of large base, but he then tackles and uses the same base back on her. She ends up partially falling through the floor where she ends up stuck. He then approaches to kill her, but another sister shoots him with a shotgun, blasting him back onto the floor that then gives way, and he falls down into the raging fire below.
