PLOT: The band U2 -- comprised of lead singer Bono, drummer Larry Mullen Jr., bassist Adam Clayton, and lead guitarist The Edge -- performs a concert in Buenos Aires, recorded live in digital 3D. WILL KIDS WANT TO SEE IT? If they're fans of the band or filmed rock concerts, they probably will. WHY THE MPAA RATED IT: G Presumably for not containing material to warrant a higher rating. CAST AS ROLE MODELS: The band members appear as themselves, performing their songs without doing anything objectionable. OUR WORD TO PARENTS: The following is a quick look at the content found in this G-rated concert film. Some shirtless male fans, a woman in a bikini top, and the bare back of a man or woman (from a distance) are briefly seen, as is the non-photo realistic image of a fighter jet on the background screens of the stage during a song. The lead singer briefly and playfully kisses his male band-mate on the lips (in a heterosexual fashion), but beyond that, the rest of the film's categories contain nothing objectionable. For those concerned with bright flashes of light on the screen, there's some of that from camera flashes and the flashing images of onscreen titles at the beginning of the film, followed by occasional strobe light effects during the concert. For those prone to visually induced motion sickness, there's some handheld camera footage (which will be exacerbated when appearing on giant IMAX screens, and in 3D). ALCOHOL OR DRUG USE None. GUNS/WEAPONS There's a not-quite photo realistic (and repeated) image of a fighter jet on the big screen behind the stage (during a song). MUSIC (INAPPROPRIATE) None, but some songs had lyrics that we couldn't fully hear and/or understand, thus presenting the possibility of them potentially containing objectionable material. SEX/NUDITY From time to time, we occasionally see some shirtless male fans, the long-distance view of the bare back of a man or woman (too far away to tell the gender), and a brief view of a woman in a bikini top.
