PLOT: Charlie Logan (DANE COOK) is a single dentist in his thirties who's lived with a curse since he was ten-years-old and refused to make out with a Goth girl. Accordingly, she put a hex on him back then where anyone he later had sex with would marry the next guy she dated. Charlie never put much stock in any of that, but after attending his ex-girlfriend's wedding, he starts questioning whether it's true. Many gorgeous women do, and upon hearing the rumor of his "powers," come knocking at his door. Charlie's lifelong best friend, lecherous plastic surgeon Stu (DAN FOGLER), thinks the gift is a godsend as it will mean endless sex with no strings attached, and for a while, Charlie takes advantage of that. That is, until he meets and falls for klutzy penguin specialist Cam Wexler (JESSICA ALBA) who works down at Aqua World with her pothead brother Joe (LONNY ROSS). The fact that she shows no interest in sleeping with him only makes her that much more alluring to Charlie. Yet, when Stu reminds Charlie of the curse, he finds himself torn, knowing that if he sleeps with her, she'll likely marry the next guy she dates. From that point on, he does what he can to prevent that from happening. WILL KIDS WANT TO SEE IT? If they're fans of anyone in the cast or want to see a raunchy sex comedy, they probably will. WHY THE MPAA RATED IT: R For sequences of strong sexual content including crude dialogue, nudity, language and some drug use. CAST AS ROLE MODELS: DANE COOK plays a successful but single dentist who ends up having casual sex with many women when they buy into the rumor that if they do so, they'll marry the next guy they date. After sleeping with Cam, he then tries to prevent that from happening with her. He uses strong profanity and drinks some. JESSICA ALBA plays a klutzy penguin specialist who initially wants nothing to do with Charlie romantically or sexually, but eventually ends up falling for and sleeping with him. She then becomes unnerved by his over-the-top smothering of her. She uses some profanity. DAN FOGLER plays Charlie's best friend, a lecherous plastic surgeon who specializes in breasts and thus is obsessed with them and most anything sexually related. He uses strong profanity, drinks some, and encourages Charlie to use his gift to sleep with as many women as possible. LONNY ROSS plays Cam's pothead brother who works with her at Aqua World and encourages her to go out with Charlie so that she'll have sex. OUR WORD TO PARENTS: The following is a brief summary of the content found in this R-rated comedy. Profanity consists of at least 17 "f" words, while other expletives and colorful phrases are also uttered. All sorts of sexually related innuendo and dialogue (some of it explicit) are present as are some related song lyrics. Many comedy-based sexual encounters (with movement, sounds and nudity - everything but genitals) are seen, and while not played for eroticism, many are nearly X-rated in nature. Nonsexual nudity (breasts, butts) is also present, some of the sex-based comedy involves 10-year-old kids (boys and girls), and a man playfully acts out oral sexual behavior with a stuffed penguin toy. Some slightly injurious physical contact occurs between characters, but most of the content in that category stems from slapstick and pratfall material. Some behavior may be enticing for some kids to imitate, crude humor occurs, and comedy based bad attitudes are present, with some potentially being offensive to some viewers. Various characters drink (some a lot), while one is noted as being a pothead and is briefly seen inhaling pot smoke. ALCOHOL OR DRUG USE People have drinks at a wedding. After Charlie comments that he used to date the bride (at her wedding), Cam says she did as well, just once, that it was an experimental thing, and that both women were drunk. About bad karaoke singing, Charlie jokes something about acid being involved. A message on Charlie's answering machine suggest that they go out for drinks. Joe comes out from a break and tells his sister, "I was just taking five...hits" from his bong. She complains about him smelling of bong water, and he then pulls out an unlit pop pipe. About Cam then doing something klutzy, Joe jokes, "And you think I look wasted." About a pretty woman who passes by, Stu says "I'd suck a fart out of her ass and hold it like a bong hit" (followed by a fake farting and then inhaling sound). Charlie and Stu have beer. To get up the courage to sleep with an obese woman, Charlie downs shot after shot of liquor. Joe comments on using pages of Nietzsche as rolling paper (for pot) and that it's like he's smoking such writers' thoughts. We then see him inhaling pot smoke via a diving mask that's filled with just that. Charlie has a beer, while Cam separately has wine. To get up the courage to ask out an obese woman, Stu grabs someone else's tropical drink, while Charlie has one of his own while he watches. An empty beer bottle falls to the ground and spins around a few times. BLOOD/GORE We see two small bloody spots on the dentist smock/coat that Charlie wears (from where two sharp dental tools accidentally impaled him earlier). About a pretty woman who passes by, Stu says "I'd suck a fart out of her ass and hold it like a bong hit" (followed by a fake farting and then inhaling sound). Stu states he read that penguins like to eat their own "sh*t," with Charlie later commenting on that to Cam. An obese woman lets out a loud fart, and we see bad acne pimples all over her skin as she sunbathes in a bikini. To get up the courage to sleep with an obese woman, Charlie downs shot after shot of liquor, and then nearly retches at the thought of what he's going to do (especially after seeing her messily eat with her hands, etc.). We see a penguin poop and then eat its own excrement. Charlie falls into the penguin tank and various penguins then bite him, including at his clothed crotch. Once out of the water, we see a few bloody holes in his pants (on the legs, not the crotch). About Charlie's place, Stu says, "It smells like sh*t in here." DISRESPECTFUL/BAD ATTITUDE We see a scene from Charlie's childhood where, as a ten-year-old, he plays spin the bottle with various other kids. One young pairing goes into a closet for seven minutes of making out, but the girl wants nothing to do with the guy who keeps coming on to her. She says she'll say she kissed him if he stops, but he says he will only if she says they "did the nasty" or that he kissed and licked her "boobies" (followed by him making an exaggerated sucking sound). Charlie then ends up in a closet with a Goth girl who comes on to him, and then puts a hex on him when he won't have sex with her (played for comedy). Stu sees women as sexual conquests and uses his plastic surgeon business to perform breast implants on women (so that he can see their bare breasts). The film makes overweight and obese women the nightmare joke for men, with Charlie reacting in shock that his overweight receptionist wants to have sex with him (for the later marriage part). She then reveals herself in lingerie and then pushes him down onto a table that collapses under their weight. There's a later segment where an extremely obese woman is portrayed with acne all over her as she sunbathes in a bikini (with Stu calling her "Shamu" and saying that she's "beached" there by the pool). She farts, is mean, eats like a pig with her hands, and makes Charlie nearly retch (and he furiously scrubs himself as he showers post sex with her), while Stu also reacts adversely when he's supposed to test Charlie's curse by asking her on a date. We later learn that he lied about doing the latter. The film also portrays most women save for Cam as so desperate to get married that they will have casual sex with a stranger (Charlie) and thus will have no choice but marry the next guy they date. When Stu learns Charlie slept with his overweight receptionist, he's flabbergasted, asking, "You slept with Reba?" He adds that Charlie has the power to turn any "hot chick" into a "Knob gobbling, lance waxing, flesh monger" (running his hand up and down in the air during the waxing comment) "and you're out there plowing the back forty with Reba?" He then says that's revolting and disgusting, but then asks, "How was she?" Charlie uses the term "retarded" in relation to Stu. Stu jokingly comments on Charlie "for being a fag" and later says something about "The new gay you." Charlie ends up smothering Cam with attention while trying to prevent her from going out with anyone else. Stu mentions a cousin having a brain tumor, and Charlie seizes on that as a way he could still get Cam (by having her marry the guy who would then die). Stu then says he's all about the "boobies" and adds that an inside the park home run is a "blow job." Charlie wonders what that is, and Stu isn't sure, but mentions something about his father getting one at work (or something like that). Meanwhile, one young pairing goes into a closet for seven minutes of making out, but the girl wants nothing to do with the guy who keeps coming on to her. She says she'll say she kissed him if he stops, but he says he will only if she says they "did the nasty" or that he kissed and licked her "boobies" (followed by him making an exaggerated sucking sound). Next up is Charlie and a young Goth girl who aggressively comes on to him in the closet, telling him he can do her if he wants, and demands to see his penis. He's taken aback by this, especially as she takes off her shirt (we see her black bra) and asks him, "Don't you want me?" As he makes shocked noises heard outside the closet, Stu says Charlie is probably giving her a "blow job." But back in the closet, we see that she's torn open Charlie's shirt on the floor, twisted his nipples, and scratched his chest (saying she read in Cosmo that doing so is a turn-on). After Charlie breaks through the closet door to get away, Stu asks, "Did you thumb her?" We see adult Charlie with a young woman on the beach. She's in a small bikini and the top comes off, revealing her bare breasts. She then gets on top of the shirtless Charlie in the sand, and presumably starts performing oral sex on him (based on his pleasured reaction, as well as her muffled voice). When she says she loves him, he says that's nice, thus angering her, especially, she says, after licking sand off his "balls." She then gets up and storms off, and we see her bare breasts again, as well as a visible erection in his boxers that he then feels with his hand. He later comments to Stu about her being a noisy eater. Stu talks about sexual matters related to a wedding, including the bridesmaids "giving head" and "scoring." He also comments that he "jerks off" to a patient's mammograms (we see her in person, and she shows cleavage). Stu jokes about his penis being in the Guinness Book of World records for girth, not length. Stu lustfully stares at a bent over woman who shows cleavage. When a bride says that she can't imagine being any happier than she is right now (at her reception), one guy jokingly responds, "Wait until tonight, sweetheart." Various young women show varying amounts of cleavage (sometimes a lot) in several scenes throughout the movie. Cam accidentally causes items on a wedding reception table to spill onto Charlie's clothed crotch. She then pours water on that, and starts rubbing that area with a napkin, trying to clean up the mess (with Charlie awkwardly reacting). Stu then happens upon that and jokes, "That looks like cum." Stu and Charlie are referred to as "T*ts and teeth" (for what they work on professionally). We see a couple making out at a wedding reception. Various attractive women wait in Charlie's lobby for him (following the rumor of sleeping with him resulting in them marrying the next guy they date), and there's an article about him with the headline, "A dentist drill you'll want." Stu then calls Charlie over to his office to check out a patient's bare breasts. Charlie averts his eyes, but Stu and the woman say it's fine, and the woman suggestively comments on her name being Pleasure. Stu later says he just wanted Charlie to see the breasts without having to pay for a lap dance. Later, Charlie has many messages on his answering machine from many women (and one man) who want to have sex with him (but Charlie is shocked and doesn't listen to any of them in full). A woman gets into Charlie's convertible, immediately removes her shirt (revealing lots of cleavage in her bra) and then straddles him in the front seat (with some related movement). She wants to have sex (to take advantage of his curse) and asks if he wants to be on top or bottom, pulling a wrapped condom from her bra (he tells her to put it back in "your secret booby place"). When he realizes it will be sex with no strings, he asks if she wants to have sex before or after dinner, and she replies that she already has dinner plans. Cam shows varying amounts of cleavage in different outfits in the movie. When Cam says she isn't emotionally available at this time, Charlie jokes that he's just looking for a physical relationship. Cam then gets out of the car, but her skirt gets caught in the door and rips off, revealing her in her small panties (with the camera focusing in tight on her crotch area and the penguin emblem on the front of them). Charlie returns to his place to find his receptionist, Reba, waiting there to have sex with him (for the latter marriage part of his curse). Charlie is reluctant (not just because she's his employee, but also because she's quite overweight). She then removes her overcoat to reveal her in lingerie, with her saying that the panties are edible, but that he should avoid the "tush area" since she's been sitting for hours. She then pushes him back onto a table where she straddles him, but the table breaks under their weight. Later, when Stu learns of that, he's flabbergasted, asking, "You slept with Reba?" Additional sexual talk follows, including more about "trim" and getting "laid," while the background of the shot shows various shapely young women in bikinis playing volleyball (showing cleavage). We see a several minute, comedy-based montage of Charlie having casual sex with many different women, in many different positions (missionary, rear entry, side-by-side, etc.). We see his bare butt, some of theirs, some bare breasts, lots of movement, some near contortionist moves on a woman's part, and related sounds, as well as sexual talk including a woman repeatedly telling him, "F*ck me (harder)." Some parts of this sequence show split-screen views of various sexual encounters, and we see Charlie holding a long roll of wrapped condoms, while a close-up view of the front of a woman's panties shows pubic hair sticking up from the top, with the words "George W" and an arrow pointing down to that hair being on her belly. Some of the sexual encounters are very graphic in nature and quite close to being X-rated. The sexual term "boning" is used, and Stu admits that he masturbated into a grapefruit the night before (commenting on putting a hole in it and then warming it in the microwave). We see Joe shirtless at the aquatic center. When Cam asks why Joe is taking Charlie's side about them going on a date, Joe replies it's because he knows how long it's been since... (but Cam puts her hand over his mouth to stop him from completing that sentence). Charlie and Cam briefly do some clothed, passionate kissing. A comment is made about "penguin p*ssy" and we then learn that Stu bought and now has on display Pamela Anderson's removed breast implants. About Charlie and his spree of casual sex, Stu comments on Charlie getting "your axle greased in the process," and comments on squirting a little "baby gravy" and "man chowder" (semen). Charlie and Cam passionately kiss in a carriage and then back home, where she playfully asks if he's trying to remove her bra. He says no, and she asks why not, followed by her removing her own bra from under her shirt. She then removes his shirt, but a phone call from Stu briefly interrupts them (with Stu asking, "Did you bone her yet?"). As he takes that call, Cam removes his pants down to his boxers, drops her pants while walking into the bedroom (and playfully shakes her panty-covered rear), and then removes her top just as she walks out of the camera shot (we see a split-second view of the side of one bare breast). We then see Cam in bed, with the sheets mostly pulled up over her bare breasts (we see the very top of them), but Stu has convinced Charlie he'll make a mistake by sleeping with her (due to the marriage curse). Charlie then reluctantly grabs his clothes and leaves. We see a very obese woman in a bikini lying by a pool, and the guys decide she'll be the ultimate test about the sex equals marriage curse. Stu makes a comment about "sink the soldier." Later, when Charlie reluctantly suggest that they get physical, the woman eagerly says, "I'm gonna f*ck you till you die," and we then see a close-up, overhead view of her having sex on top of him (we only see part of her bare back and his unhappy face, along with some movement and the sound of the bed squeaking). We then see his bare chest in the shower as he furiously scrubs his body afterwards. We see Cam and Charlie talking to each other on the phone in separate baths (hers is bubble-filled, while his is not, thus we see his bare chest). She wants him to come over and wash her back, suggestively saying they could put on masks and play doctor. She then comments on wanting to check out some birthmark he has, with him then lifting and spreading his legs in his bath, saying that not all can see that (suggesting it's somewhere around his crotch area). Since he's pretending to be sick so that he doesn't sleep with her and thus evoke the curse, she starts doing a bit of phone sex talk to him, and then sends him an apparently nude photo of her in the tub. We don't see it, but he does and reacts accordingly. We see Stu holding a grapefruit with a hole in it, by the microwave (meaning he's about to masturbate with that). As Charlie and Cam passionately make out (standing, as well as with her clothed legs around his clothed waist or his face while he stands) and crash into various things, causing property damage inside her place (breaking furniture, cracking walls, etc., all played for laughs). They then end up on her bed (after he spots and comments on a video camera in her bedroom). Our view is then floor level where we see underwear falling to the floor, and then him falling to the floor after she accidentally knocks him off the bed. She says it's been a while, and he jokingly says he can see he's going to need "protection." We then see them under the covers after sex, and she tells him to stop staring at her as it's creeping her out. We then see Cam with the sheet just covering her bare breasts. We see Stu fooling around with a patient in his office (her top is partially done, but nothing is seen), and he jokes about having a "McT*tty sandwich" with "t*tties" on top. An artsy painting on the wall in Stu's office shows bare breasts. A comment is made about getting "laid." Charlie walks in on Stu masturbating with a grapefruit and holding a brush (with him talking of using that for prostrate manipulation). Charlie goes to see the woman who put a curse on him years ago as a 10-year-old, and comments on her doing so for him not showing her his penis. Charlie tells Stu to take him home, with Stu joking that he's not that easy and that Charlie must buy him dinner first. Stu playfully tells his new girlfriend to "get your sweet ass over here" and then says that she has a medical condition that's resulted in her having three breasts. She then willing shows them to Charlie, but we don't see them (but do during the end credits). Charlie and Cam kiss in Antarctica, and we then see that their tongues are frozen together. During the end credits, we see Stu looking for some porn with his three-breasted girlfriend (we see the bare breasts). He then finds a tape of Charlie playing around on camera for Cam, where he acts like he's being sexual with her stuffed penguin toy. He kisses on it, and then goes down its body where he spreads its legs and then acts as if he's performing oral sex on it. He then tells her (the penguin and Cam who we hear off camera) to wait, and then turns over the toy where he acts as if he's licking its anus, commenting on licking her "ass." Stu and his girlfriend are shocked by this, but when he asks if she's still in the mood, she says yes (and the scene ends there). SMOKING None. After Charlie breaks through the door to escape, she puts a hex on him and tears a handful of hair from his head before storming out (all played for comedy). Cam accidentally causes items on a wedding reception table to spill onto Charlie's clothed crotch (including something hot). Cam ends up teetering on the edge of a penguin pool on the slide down into it. One penguin then zips down it, knocking her feet out from under her, and she lands face-first on the edge (hard), chipping a tooth. Cam hits her head on Charlie's dentist lights and then hits the examination tray that sends two sharp dentist tools flying through the air, impaling Charlie in the back (through his clothes). Later, we see two small bloody spots on the dentist smock/coat. Saying she needs a jump-start for her car, Charlie playfully tells Cam, "I want to jump you." Moments later, she starts the car while he's still holding onto the jumper cables, thus blasting him back to the parking lot surface from the shock (a little smoke comes from him, but he's otherwise okay). Cam pushes a button that accidentally causes Charlie's convertible roof to deploy while driving (and thus is ripped from the car). Later, she runs and tries to jump into the open convertible, but hits it wrong and lands face-first in the car. Cam uses a rock to break the glass in her locked front door so that she can get inside. Stu throws a Frisbee that unintentionally hits a kid on the head, knocking him to the ground. A throw by Charlie then hits Stu in the crotch, while another throw by Stu hits an older woman on the head. While walking along and not paying attention, Cam accidentally runs face-first into a pole that knocks her back to the pavement. As Charlie and Cam passionately make out (standing, as well as with her clothed legs around his clothed waist or his face while he stands) and crash into various things, causing property damage inside her place (breaking furniture, cracking walls, etc., all played for laughs, and done unintentionally). A woman smacks Stu on the face. Thinking a guy is Cam's date that she'll then marry, Charlie grabs and then repeatedly hits him with an inflatable plastic/rubber penguin. Charlie falls into the penguin tank and various penguins then bite him, including at his clothed crotch. Once out of the water, we see a few bloody holes in his pants (on the legs, not the crotch).
