QUICK TAKE:
Animated Comedy: A trio of fast food characters tries to stop some renegade exercise equipment from destroying the world.
PLOT:
Master Shake (voice of DANA SNYDER), Meatwad (voice of DAVE WILLIS), and Frylock (voice of CAREY MEANS) are three fast food characters that make up the Aqua Teen Hunger Force, based in a New Jersey house next to human Carl (voice of DAVE WILLIS).

When a piece of exercise equipment threatens to take over the world, the ATHF tries to stop it. Their attempts are complicated by the fact that Plutonians Oglethorpe (voice of ANDY MERRILL) and Emory (voice of MIKE SCHATZ) want control of the equipment and have enlisted the aid of the robotic Cybernetic Ghost of Christmas Past (voice of MATT MAIELLARO).

As the fast food characters continue on their quest, they must also contend with the nefarious Dr. Weird (voice of C. MARTIN CROKER), as well as primitive computer game characters Ignignokt (voice of DAVE WILLIS) and Err (voice of MATT MAIELLARO).

WILL KIDS WANT TO SEE IT?

(Note: The "Our Take" review of this title examines the film's artistic merits and does not take into account any of the possibly objectionable material listed below).

OUR WORD TO PARENTS:
The following is a brief summary of the content found in this R-rated, animated comedy. Profanity consists of at least 15 "f" words, while other expletives and various colorful phrases are also used. Sexually related dialogue and song lyrics are present, as is other sexually related material (including a robot repeatedly humping various things, a sexual encounter that turns violent - off-screen and played for comedy), while some scantly clad, female cartoon characters are seen.

Absurdism-based violence includes human and non-human characters being attacked and/or torn up, often with bloody and/or gory results (all done in a non-realistic, cartoon fashion). Various bits of crude humor are also present, as is some potentially imitative behavior. Bad attitudes are present, as is some alcohol content and drug-related comments.

Should you still be concerned about the film's appropriateness for yourself or anyone else in your home, you may want to look more closely at our detailed listings for more specific information regarding the film's content.

ALCOHOL OR DRUG USE
  • A precursor to the movie has a heavy metal performer singing bits about spending their money on drugs.
  • A video game character tells another he needs to set his goals higher, prompting the second to say he's pretty high now, with the first saying he is too.
  • We see a flashback to college days where many beers (bottles and cans) are seen in the aliens' dorm room.
  • BLOOD/GORE
  • A dog grabs Frylock and violently shakes him, leaving him badly wounded (he appears all torn up, with an eye hanging from its socket, etc.).
  • An old and primitive looking video game has one character shoot another, with very blocky and non-realistic bloody results.
  • Dr. Weird's skin suddenly comes off, revealing guts that fall out of his skeleton, and he then pulls out his own heart.
  • Meatwad prepares to fire kittens out of cannons, and we then see two kittens explode (in a bloody, cartoon mess) inside them.
  • Master Shake farts several times.
  • We see a painting that shows various skulls as well as some skeletons.
  • After farting, one character says he just pooped a little bit.
  • Carl talks about some bush and that he's been urinating on it twice a day.
  • Some aliens pull voice oscillators from their mouths/throats, and the equipment has goo all over it.
  • A missile is fired and strikes Space Ghost (with brief, resultant blood and gore).
  • Master Shake tells Frylock, "Why don't you get this with your lips? I'm referring to my anus."
  • One character tells another that something would complement "the inside of your anus."
  • From a distance, we see a dog defecting in a park.
  • A large vehicle suddenly hits Master Shake, knocking out some of his teeth (that are bloody).
  • We see the cover of an exercise video that shows a headless person with a bloody neck stump. In the video, we see an exercise robot shooting a laser that hits and blasts off the character's head (with bloody results). The robot then repeatedly stomps down on the body, seemingly tearing it up.
  • A fly eats on a piece of dog excrement.
  • A video game character vomits on a roller coaster (with the vomit appearing all blocky and digital).
  • Meatwad talks of peeing in a pool.
  • One of the little video game characters does some digital vomiting again, this time after being given mayonnaise to drink (although the scene's proximity to a preceding one where bull semen is mentioned makes one think that's what it is).
  • Dr. Weird pulls out part of his own brains to put into some characters he's created (in a flashback).
  • In a flashback set in Africa, a lion grabs and eat a chicken character (with bloody results).
  • Carl vomits from something to do with monkey glands.
  • Carl asks a female bodybuilder where he's "gonna do you," so she then chains him to a bed. However, she's really Dr. Weird in disguise, and he then approaches Carl with a knife. When we later return to the scene, Carl (who's still alive) is mostly just a bunch of bloody bones (with blood all over the bed).
  • Dr. Weird and Frylock fight, with various punches thrown. Dr. Weird's human assistant dissolves away into just a skeleton, while Frylock cuts Dr. Weird in half (horizontally), resulting in lots of blood (but he's still alive that way).
  • A teddy bear equipped with various spinning blades and such slices Master Shake, resulting in bloodiness. Moments later, that happens again, this time with Master Shake's hand coming off, with more bloodiness.
  • The video game characters both admit to having peed in pools in the past.
  • DISRESPECTFUL/BAD ATTITUDE
  • The film's various villains all have bad attitudes.
  • A precursor to the movie has a heavy metal performer singing bits about spending their money on drugs and threatening all sorts of violence against the viewer.

  • Meatwad prepares to fire kittens out of cannons, and we then see two kittens explode (in a bloody, cartoon mess) inside them.

  • Frylock tells Meatwad to get rid of some shorts, saying this has nothing to do with gay pride.

  • The term "retarded" is used.
  • A closing song at the end of the film has a line about a "South Jersey mook."
  • FRIGHTENING SCENES

  • An old and primitive looking video game has one character shoot another, with very blocky and non-realistic bloody results.
  • Two FBI agents break into a room and riddle the place with gunfire from their handguns.
  • A dart is fired into President Lincoln's neck before he can escape.
  • Master Shake fires a flamethrower through part of Dr. Weird's condo, setting a chicken on fire (it runs around the room that way, screaming). A missile is then fired and strikes Space Ghost (with brief, resultant blood and gore). During this, Meatwad holds a gun on himself (thinking he's doing it to someone else).
