The following is a brief summary of the content found in this R-rated horror flick. Profanity consists of at least 15 "f" words, while other expletives and colorful phrases are uttered. Sexually related dialogue (some of it explicit) is present, a woman's bare breasts are seen in a nonsexual context, while a doll flashes her plastic ones to her male doll boyfriend who's masturbating (we see the hand movement with visible results) in order to artificially inseminate a real woman. A real man and woman prepare to have sex (so that she can get a role in his film), but they're interrupted before that occurs although he tries to get her to perform oral sex on him.
Violence consists of possessed dolls killing people or other dolls by various means and with various tools (mostly knives) with extremely bloody and gory results (including a decapitation and disembowelment). That material and other standard horror flick scenes may be unsettling, suspenseful or scary to some viewers (mostly younger kids and those with low tolerance levels for such mayhem), but so much of what's presented is done in a campy fashion that it lessens or negates much of those qualities.
Various characters have varying degrees of bad attitudes, while some crude humor and imitative behavior is present. Some characters drink, one smokes and a doll character has gender identification issues, while related tense family material (among the dolls) is present.
Should you still be concerned about the film's appropriateness for yourself or anyone else in your home, you may want to look more closely at our detailed listings for more specific information regarding the film's content. For those concerned with bright flashes of light on the screen, there are some bright flashes of lightning in several scenes, while those prone to visually induced motion sickness should note that some early point of view shots might have that effect on them.
