QUICK TAKE:
Drama: Given just two weeks to repay the casino boss they robbed of millions three year earlier or else face the consequences, a team of criminals set out to pull off various European heists.
PLOT:
It's been more than three years since criminal ringleader Danny Ocean (GEORGE CLOONEY) and his team -- Rusty Ryan (BRAD PITT), Reuben Tishkoff (ELLIOT GOULD), Basher Tarr (DON CHEADLE), Livingston Dell (EDDIE JEMISON), Linus Caldwell (MATT DAMON), Frank Catton (BERNIE MAC), Yen (SHAOBO QIN), Saul Bloom (CARL REINER) and brothers Virgil (CASEY AFFLECK) and Turk (SCOTT CAAN) -- knocked off three Vegas faults and made off with more than $160 million.

All have gone their separate ways and pursued various endeavors, but the casinos' owner, Terry Benedict (ANDY GARCIA), has neither forgotten about nor forgiven them for their crime or for Danny getting his ex-wife, Tess (JULIA ROBERTS), to dump Terry in favor of getting back with Danny. For the past years, he and his henchmen have been tracking them down, and with a bit of insider information, he's managed to find them.

Given just two weeks to pay back all of the money -- with interest -- or else face Benedict's wrath, Danny and his team realize they're too hot to work in America, so they head off to Europe. There, they meet with a local contact, Matsui (ROBBIE COLTRANE), who arranges a small job for them with the deal being that if they're successful, they'll get a bigger one.

With time running out, they set out to do just that. Along the way, however, they must not only deal with Rusty's past relationship and recent reunion with Europol detective Isabel Lahiri (CATHERINE ZETA-JONES) who's soon hot on their trail, but also François Toulour (VINCENT CASSEL), a local criminal mastermind known as the Night Fox who wants to prove he's the world's best thief by besting their accomplishments.

WILL KIDS WANT TO SEE IT?
If they enjoyed the first one and/or are fans of anyone in the large cast, they probably will.

    HOW OTHERS RATED THIS MOVIE

Curious if this title is entertaining, any good, and/or has any artistic merit?
Then read OUR TAKE of this film.

(Note: The "Our Take" review of this title examines the film's artistic merits and does not take into account any of the possibly objectionable material listed below).

    OUR WORD TO PARENTS:
The following is a quick look at the content found in this dramatic caper that's been rated PG-13. Profanity consists of at least 1 "f" word (and a slew of them are bleeped out in another scene, although one can tell that's what's being said), while other expletives and colorful phrases are uttered. Other imitative behavior is also present, including that exhibited by the criminals who have bad attitudes for their unlawful ways (although it's all played for slick/charming/lightweight comedy).

Some women are seen in somewhat revealing attire, various classic style statues show both male and female nudity and some women are seen in bed (implying sex as men are seen in the same room, albeit out of bed). Various characters drink and/or smoke, there's a brief funeral scene, and mild violence includes an empty car exploding, some people briefly holding guns on others, and some brief struggling or hitting. Finally, a tiny bit of crude humor-based dialogue is present.

Should you still be concerned about the film's appropriateness for yourself or anyone else in your home, you may want to look more closely at our detailed listings for more specific information regarding the film's content.

For those prone to visually induced motion sickness, some shaky, handheld camerawork as well as some unusual camera angles (such as the sideways shot of an airliner flying by with the camera panning to follow it) may induce such reactions.

  • Basher and a recording engineer or manager listen to a recorded song in the studio that has many bleeped out "f" words in it. Basher and that man then discuss those bleeps, using many "f" words that are drowned out by a noise in the studio (all played for laughs, but one can easily tell what word they're using by associated phrases and by reading their lips).

  • After Linus unsuccessfully tries to participate in a bit of code-based dialogue, Rusty later tells him that he called another man's young niece a "whore."
