PLOT: Having known each other for several years, Jim (JASON BIGGS) and Michelle (ALYSON HANNIGAN) have decided to tie the knot, much to the joy of Jim's parents (EUGENE LEVY and MOLLY CHEEK). As the wedding day approaches, Jim has still yet to pick between close friends Finch (EDDIE KAYE THOMAS) and Kevin (THOMAS IAN NICHOLAS) as his best man, but it certainly won't be their long-time acquaintance Stifler (SEANN WILLIAM SCOTT). In fact, he's not even invited to the wedding for fear that his crude and rude ways will ruin the event. With Michelle's parents, Harold (FRED WILLARD) and Mary Flaherty (DEBORAH RUSH) arriving along with their other daughter Cadence (JANUARY JONES) - who draws the competing romantic attention of Finch and Stifler - everyone prepares for the big event. Yet, when Stifler gets himself invited and Jim's grandmother (ANGELA PATON) objects to the union, it's only a matter of time before things get comedically out of control. WILL KIDS WANT TO SEE IT? If they're fans of the first two "American Pie" films and/or anyone in the cast, it's a good bet they will (teenage boys seem the film's most likely audience). WHY THE MPAA RATED IT: R For sexual content, language and crude humor. CAST AS ROLE MODELS: JASON BIGGS plays a young man who's set to marry his girlfriend, but must deal with doubts and his obnoxious friend. He uses strong profanity and does some drinking. ALYSON HANNIGAN plays his amorous girlfriend who performs oral sex on him beneath a table in public and briefly has her own doubts about marriage. SEANN WILLIAM SCOTT plays the local football coach whose crude, in your face demeanor has everyone not wanting him invited to the wedding for fear that he'll ruin it. He nearly does, uses strong profanity, drinks, and fools around with several women. EDDIE KAYE THOMAS plays Jim's good friend who's competing with Stifler over Cadence. He uses strong profanity and drinks some. THOMAS IAN NICHOLAS plays their other friend who also drinks some. EUGENE LEVY plays Jim's dad who's always willing to give him and others advice that's usually sexual in nature. FRED WILLARD and DEBORAH RUSH play Michelle's parents who are shocked by the demeanor and actions of Jim and his friends. JANUARY JONES plays Michelle's amorous sister who wants to have sex with Stifler. ANGELA PATON plays Jim's grandmother who doesn't approve of the wedding, but is happy once she has a sexual encounter with Stifler. ERIC ALLEN KRAMER plays a gay man who befriends Stifler and provides some female strippers for a bachelor party. CAST, CREW, & TECHNICAL INFO HOW OTHERS RATED THIS MOVIE Curious if this title is entertaining, any good, and/or has any artistic merit? Then read OUR TAKE of this film. (Note: The "Our Take" review of this title examines the film's artistic merits and does not take into account any of the possibly objectionable material listed below). OUR WORD TO PARENTS: Here's a quick look at the content found in this R-rated comedy. Profanity consists of at least 50 "f" words, while all sorts of other expletives and colorful phrases are also uttered. Many instances of sexual dialogue are present (a few of them being explicit), some songs have sexual lyrics, while sexual activity occurs (including implied oral sex) but isn't seen (all of it's played for laughs, as is a scene of misinterpreted bestiality). Erections are seen in several men's clothing, several bare-breasted hookers are present in one scene, and men's bare butts are seen in separate scenes. Some sexual humor also involves gay-related material and cross-generational sexual encounters. Crude humor consists of a guy eating dog feces and a scene where shaved pubic hair falls onto others and on some food. Some bad attitudes and imitative behavior are present, while various characters drink in various scenes. Should you still be concerned about the film's appropriateness for yourself or anyone else in your home, you may want to look more closely at our detailed listings for more specific information regarding the film's content. ALCOHOL OR DRUG USE There's wine on the table in front of Jim and Michelle. Jim, Finch and Kevin have beer or drinks in a bar where others drink. People have champagne at a wedding party where a guy is upset that there's no keg. Jim, Finch and Kevin have beer. Miscellaneous people drink in a bar. People drink in a club. Stifler drinks from a bottle. Stifler and Cadence have wine in a bar. Stifler has a beer. The guys walk in with cases of beer and a gay man walks back into a bachelor party with some beer. People have wine and champagne with dinner. Stifler grabs a bottle of champagne. Jim has a beer. Stifler's mom has a drink. BLOOD/GORE We hear Jim shaving his pubic hair (and see the motion, but not the actual act) and then see it falling to the floor. He then shakes out the rug out the window and his pubic hair is caught in the wind, falls on others, and lands on a wedding cake (that's then trashed). After a dog inadvertently eats Michelle's wedding ring, Stifler follows the dog around, hoping to spot it defecating and then get the ring back. He tells the dog to do it and "just take a sh*t already." We then see wet/fresh dog excrement that Stifler picks up in a pastry sleeve. Michelle's mom then thinks it's a chocolate truffle and wants him to give it to her. When she reaches for it, he quickly stuffs the entire thing into his mouth and reacts to the taste (we see the excrement in his mouth and on his teeth several times). There's wine on the tables at a wedding reception. DISRESPECTFUL/BAD ATTITUDE When Finch says that some others are "my people," Stifler jokingly asks if that means they're gay. Stifler nearly ruins Jim and Michelle's wedding due to his self-centered and crude ways (but turns around and saves the day and wedding). He also badmouths and mocks various people. FRIGHTENING SCENES None. GUNS/WEAPONS None. IMITATIVE BEHAVIOR Due to laughter/crowd noise, we could not hear all of the dialogue, but did note the following phrases: "You're f*cked now," "Holy f*cking sh*t," "F*cking great," "French f*cker," "F*ck face," "F*ck this sh*t," "What the f*ck /are we talking about?" "F*ckers," "F*ck 'em," "F*ck yeah," "F*ck those f*ckers," "Don't f*ck around," "F*ck you," "Get to work, f*cker," "Look at this sh*t," "Sh*thead," "Eat sh*t," "Bullsh*t," "Holy sh*t," "Sh*t-brick," "Oh, sh*t," "You can blow me after practice" (said as a taunt), "Who sucks donkey d*cks?" He then hits him in the crotch while saying Bangkok (or "bang c*ck"). A miscellaneous person has tattoos. Stifler does some pelvic thrusting (in a gay bar) while having a dance-off with a gay man (who also does some pelvic thrusting while lying on the floor on his back (both are clothed). Stifler mouths "F*ck you" to his friends and then does some exaggerated and covert tongue licking and pelvic thrusting behind Michelle's mom. He then does some more exaggerated and covert pelvic thrusting behind Michelle's mom (who makes some pleasured sounds regarding some flowers she's seeing). Finch gives "the finger" to Stifler, who later gives it back in return and then vice-versa. Finch moons Stifler from a passing car (we see his bare butt). JUMP SCENES None. MUSIC (SCARY/TENSE) None. MUSIC (INAPPROPRIATE) A song has the lyrics "This bed is on fire with passionate love. The neighbors complain about the noises above. But she only comes when she's on top." Another song has sexually related lyrics, while one has a repeated lyric about "shaking that ass." PROFANITY Due to laughter/crowd noise, we could not hear all of the dialogue, but did note the following -- At least 50 "f" words (1 used with "mother," 3 used sexually as are the terms "boning," "bone," "bone-able," "hooked up," "do it" "making love," and "get laid"), 32 "s" words, 23 slang terms for/using male genitals ("d*ck," "c*ck" and "wang"), 3 using female genitals ("p*ssy"), 3 for breasts (variations of "t*t"), 16 asses (4 used with "hole"), 5 hells, 4 damns, 2 craps, 10 uses of "Oh my God," 5 of "Jesus," 2 of "G-damn" and 1 each of "Mother of God" and "My God." SEX/NUDITY Due to laughter/crowd noise, we could not hear all of the dialogue, but did note the following: Certain songs, listed under "Music (Inappropriate)" have sexual content. Michelle asks if something Jim wants to tell her is kinky and adds that there's no need to be embarrassed for wanting to add some spice to their romance. After Jim tells Michelle to use her dinner napkin (for something nonsexual), she playfully states that she has her own technique and then slips beneath the table in a fine restaurant. We then see his surprised and pleasured reactions to her apparently performing oral sex on him. Jim's father then shows up (but doesn't realize what's occurring). While talking about Jim preparing to propose to Michelle, the father states that he hopes Jim didn't "blow your wad on this" (the ring) and that he looks like he's ready to burst (all innuendo on the film's part). He then gets Jim up from the table (he doesn't want to go) and then the father and everyone else sees Jim's bare butt as his pants are around his ankles. Michelle then comes out, Jim proposes and she accepts. We then see a partial erection in Jim's boxers (that he's pulled up) and then a close-up of that (as he states he's the happiest guy in the world). Jim's father then states, "We should all be as happy." Stifler arranges letters on a cake to read "Jism." Stifler and Jim accidentally smash a cake between them, getting it onto their crotches. A dog then proceeds to lick Stifler's clothed crotch, giving him a partial erection. A smaller dog then humps Jim's leg after he lowers his pants (to take care of the cake issue). When others then walk into the room, they spot what looks like a bestiality scene with Stifler lying on the floor, one dog licking at his clothed crotch, Jim rhythmically trying to pull that dog away from Stifler and the smaller dog humping Jim's leg. A guy quotes a porn star by saying, "Suck my d*ck." Stifler jokes about "hang with my wang (penis) out" and does another rhyme ending with "with my c*ck out." Stifler tells Jim that he's been looking out for Jim's sex life since high school, commenting on "t*ts" and "hooking up." To appease Stifler, Jim says that he can plan his bachelor party, prompting Stifler to ask if it can include a "dildo show." A comment is made about going to see "t*tties." Stifler unknowingly ends up in a gay club (where we see some guys kissing) and is hit upon by a guy in drag. Once he realizes it, he's upset that the others aren't coming on to him. That prompts one man to say, "Not every gay man wants to have sex with you." Later, and following the dance-off with a gay man, Stifler tells his friends, "I told you that guy wanted to f*ck me." Stifler does some pelvic thrusting (in a gay bar) while having a dance-off with a gay man (who also does some pelvic thrusting while lying on the floor on his back (both are clothed). Cadence says that her ex-boyfriend didn't want to "do it" (have sex) and made a comment about them deflowering each other. Michelle and Cadence then talk about Finch, with the latter asking if he's "bone-able" and the former saying he is. Stifler spots Cadence in her panties and bra (that shows cleavage). He then hears Cadence say that she doesn't feel like a virgin in her bridesmaid dress. Stifler mouths "F*ck you" to his friends and then does some exaggerated and covert tongue licking and pelvic thrusting behind Michelle's mom. Stifler does some more exaggerated and covert pelvic thrusting behind Michelle's mom (who makes some pleasured sounds regarding some flowers she's seeing). A person asks if Stifler is acting the way he is to "bone" Cadence. Michelle tells Jim that he has to stop masturbating as it's melting his brain. Cadence shows some cleavage. Finch makes a comment about "get laid." Stifler tells Jim that he (Jim) "hooked up" with one other girl beyond Michelle in the past for ten seconds. A comment is made that a guy is acting like an old man picking out his porno. Jim asks his dad if he (the dad) would have passed on sex with Nadia (a character in the earlier film). When Jim amends that to his dad being of college age, the dad says, "In a heartbeat." The dad then says that there's more to marriage than kinky sex games (such as who plays what in "dog and fire hydrant"), but adds that Jim's mom can still make him squeal like a pig. Two buxom strippers enter a party, one dressed as a French maid (who bends over and playfully asks if the guys can see her "fanny" as we see her panties and some partially bare butt cheeks) and the other as a leather-clad dominatrix style cop with a riding crop. We then see the bare breasts of the cop when she's in nothing but what look like leather panties. We then see the bare breasts of the maid who tells Finch that he must put something on him that she must clean off with her tongue. He excitedly runs off to the kitchen and pours chocolate sauce all over his body (he's in his boxers) but then realizes that Jim has returned home with his future in-laws (as Kevin is blindfolded and taped to a rolling office chair). We then see a gay man (and manager of the strippers) in seat-less leather chaps (we thus see his bare butt cheeks). While holding a long string of large balls (sexual in purpose), one stripper asks the other, "Do these go in your ass tonight or mine?" Later, when Jim and the in-laws are in the house, the maid comes out, says that "master put the mop in my fanny," shows cleavage, states that it's hot and then removes her top (showing her bare breasts). Harold gets out his glasses for a better look and then smells her top, much to the dismay of his wife. The guys then come in and try to cover up the incident as being something other than strippers at a bachelor party situation. The cop then comes in and seductively hits Harold with her riding crop (he likes it). Michelle's mom confuses the above sex balls with a neck massager and uses them as such. Finch moons Stifler from a passing car (we see his bare butt). We hear Jim shaving his pubic hair (and see the motion, but not the actual act) and then see it falling to the floor. Later, he keeps repeating to himself that he's going to have sex with Cadence, but Finch tells him to "forget about your d*ck" as they need to help Jim. Stifler won't listen, says that he's going to "get laid" and then acts out Cadence wanting him to suck on her nipples (unaware that she's behind him, hearing everything). She then walks away. Cadence asks Stifler if his repairing of damages he did is to save the wedding or just to have sex with her (he says both). Finch tells Stifler (about material from an earlier film), "I did f*ck your mom." Cadence asks Stifler is he's ready to meet her in the closet for sex. He's pulled aside for a moment, however, and then rushes back to the darkened closet (where he's unaware that it's Jim's grandmother who was put in there to keep her from protesting the wedding). Stifler then says that her body (thinking it's Cadence) is not what he expected. When the door is opened, others see Stifler's back and the grandmother down in front of him (implying oral sex). She then tells Stifler to focus (on what he's doing). Later, Stifler says that "P*ssy's p*ssy." Finch then calls him a "Grandmother f*cker," Stifler calls him a "Motherf*cker" and Finch replies, "Yes, I am" (about having sex with Stifler's mother in an earlier film). Michelle talks to Jim's father, saying she hasn't been this confused since she first got her period. He then goes on to say he can understand since stuff is coming out and going in. He then asks Michelle if she knows why they call it "making love." She says she doesn't know, that she just calls it "boning." He then says that one can't do that from sunrise to sunset, she says one can and he then says he has. He then asks how she feels when she's with Jim but not having sex and she replies, "Horny." Michelle's mom comments that her daughter will become a woman tonight, prompting others to state she's probably no longer a virgin. Stifler's mom shows cleavage and invites Finch back to her place. Some guys then comment on her being a "MILF" ("mother I'd like to f*ck") and then spot her in a tub with bubbles that cover her breasts. Finch then pops up from under the water, she says, "You're not finished yet, are you?" and then pushes his head back down under the water toward her crotch (implied oral sex).
