QUICK TAKE:
Children's Adventure: A cat and two dogs get lost and have to find their way home.
PLOT:
On the way to a vacation spot, a family's two dogs, Chance (voice of MICHAEL J. FOX), Shadow (voice of RALPH WAITE), and their cat, Sassy (voice of SALLY FIELD) get separated from them and don't make the flight. From then on, it's up to the animals to find their way home from the airport. Along the way they encounter other friendly and not-so friendly animals as well as two bad guys who are stealing pets to sell to the local lab.
WILL KIDS WANT TO SEE IT?
If they liked the original or just like films with animals as the stars they'll be drawn to this one.
WHY THE MPAA RATED IT: G
For not containing any material that would warrant a higher rating.
CAST AS ROLE MODELS:
  • Since the main characters are real animals, it's doubtful kids will see them as role models. However, if they do, there's nothing bad in how any of the animals acts, other than Chance's over zealous attitude toward life and adventure that sometimes gets him in over his head in trouble.
