VIDEO:
(B) The disc features a good picture, although it's not quite as sharp as it should be (or as one would hope it would be), and shows several instances of compression-related pixelation, although they're not too distracting.
AUDIO:
(B) The digital soundtrack features crisp dialogue, but until the end where more songs and the musical score finally come to life, the rest of the audio is serviceable, but not of demonstration quality (although one wouldn't necessarily expect a non-action comedy to have such audio).
EXTRAS:
Scene selection/Jump to any scene.
Featurette (6 minutes): A short "making of" feature consisting of interviews and clips from the movie.
Production notes — 6 pages of on-screen text
Cast & Crew filmographies and biographies (on-screen text)
Trailer
Additional trailers for "Kindergarten Cop," "Twins," "Conan the Barbarian" and "Primary Colors."
COMMENTS:
While the film's concept wasn't as original as most people thought (Billy Crystal had already played the world's first pregnant man in 1978's "Rabbit Test"), and the film doesn't deliver many laughs beyond the concept of macho, "he-man" Schwarzenegger being pregnant, the film does have an overall charming quality. Although the supplemental material isn't overabundant, and the picture quality isn't quite up to today's standards, fans of the film won't be disappointed with this DVD release.
