Plot: After coming to life via a magical hat, a snowman must contend with an evil magician who wants that hat.
AUDIO/VIDEO ELEMENTS:
Belying its age, the video transfer of this more than 30-year-old original cartoon to DVD looks great. Sharp and featuring strong and accurate color reproduction, the image features few film artifacts and turns out to be far more impressive than most probably would have imagined it would be. Beyond the lower animation quality of the sequel, "Frosty Returns" generally looks okay, but suffers from some odd, occasional pulsing (on walls, etc.) in certain scenes. As far as the audio goes, both audio tracks deliver what's expected of them, but the Dolby Digital 2.0 sound comes off as rather flat.
